"Roadbridge. 1796 with 1920 alterations. Dressed red sandstone. Small single-span segmental arch, splayed at either side, with solid parapet. Inscribed on brass plate, THIS BRIDGE ERECTED BY CHARLES DUKE OF NORFOLK AND THE PARISHIONERS IN 1796 WAS REBUILT AND WIDENED BY THE PARISHIONERS OF GREYSTOKE 1920 IN MEMORY OF ALL THOSE WHO FROM THIS PARISH SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918."
