"Viaduct, built for Alston branch line in 1852. By Sir George Barclay-Bruce. Coursed, squared rubble with flat copings to parapets; end piers have pyramidal caps. Elliptical centre arch has single, smaller, semicircular arch to either side; ashlar voussoirs with projecting keystones. Crosses county boundary with Northumberland."
