"A little further down the course of the same gully [as Marble Steps Hole] another stream is found which, after a brief career, enters a large cave-like entrance in the side of the rock, cleft so as to disclose a spacious chamber having its floor considerably below the level of the ground, it being about thirty-three feet in an oblique line to the deepest portion. A small fall enters a recess on one side."
