"Milestone. Probably early C19. Dressed limestone. Upright stone with flat top and deep chamfers to front corners. Painted black and white with black sans-serif lettering: MILNTHORPE 13/4 on south, LANCASTER 12 on North. Bench mark on North chamfer."
