"And about the year 1687, ffriends Increased so in Number thatt mostt of the dwelling houses was to little to Contain the Meeting, soe thatt the ffriends belonging to thatt Meeting, agreed to build a Meeting House at Little Broughton."
This early meeting house has gone. Its date is remembered in a victorian terracotta panel which now adorns the building. The present building dates from 1742. It is now a chapel.
