There was a bell house, a bell foundry, in Kendal from the late 17th to late 18th
century, used by itinerant bellfounders. Christopher Hodson leased it for 3 years
from 1695. It was pulled down, 1790. Bells were probably cast here by William Whitwell,
Christopher Hodson and Abraham Rudhall. |
