"Bridge. c1887. Rock-faced red sandstone with ashlar dressings and brick-lined soffit. Single span carrying road over course of Dane Gill Beck. Abutment piers flank segmental arch of 2 chamfered orders with hoodmould. Snecked walling in spandrels beneath ashlar offsets and parapet pierced by trefoils; blind central trefoil with insignia. Abutment piers terminate in parapet as rectangular dies with pyramidal caps. Wing walls curve out and down and stop at small stumps. Abbey Road was widened and realigned at this point prior to 1895 (OS map) and the bridge must commemorate Queen Victoria's golden jubilee of 1887."
