"Former Dame School. Early C19. Stone rubble, slate roof. Small square single cell 2-storey gabled structure set in slope of ground. Large quoins to south-west angle. South elevation has small window to half-basement and larger window to ground floor. East gable-end stack. Roof in bad repair (1987). Steps up side of west elevation to entrance under pentice, now collapsing (1987). Basement has chamfered beams and joists; well. Ground floor fireplace. Recorded as in use as school c.1820. Included for group value."
