"Two Feet bank is the south-western tongue of the large mass of sandbanks, with depths of less than 3 fathoms (5m5) over them, which occupy the middle portion of the [Solway] firth. From its southern extremity, situated about 6 1/2 miles north-westward of Workington pierhead, the edge of the bank trends eastward and north-eastward and forms the eastern edge of Robin Rigg."
