"Village hall, originally malt kiln with ancillary buildings. Probably C19, but may incorporate earlier structures; later additions and alterations. Slobbered rubble with quoins, graduated slate roofs. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Village hall entered at 1st floor level up ramp on east elevation. West elevation retains a number of original openings. 4 segment-headed doors to left (Malt Kiln) end, blocked door and window to centre, blocked window and door to right. Central segment-headed loading door, now blacked to 1st floor with small window to right. Former cart shed adjoins east elevation. Interior: Malt Kiln with twin furnace doors and ground floor circulatory passage survives relatively intact, and full height, in north end of building. Trough and pump survive on ground floor at south end. 1st floor (originally used for storage) is carried on massive, strapped, beams."
