"Lamp-post. Dated 1863 on commemorative plaque. Cast iron. Festooned, tapering plinth, square in plan with concave sides. Fluted tapering post with clasping petalled base and scrolled brackets. Square lantern with light, now converted to electricity. Inscription on commemorative plaque on East side states:"
"TO / COMMEMORATE / THE MARRIAGE / OF / HRH ALBERT EDW / Prince of Wales / ON THE IOTH DAY OF MARCH / 1863."
