Home of the Akridge Family, quakers. Agnes Akridge got into trouble for a clandestine
marriage, by breaking into a meeting house, 1761. Robert Akridge was disowned in 1771,
having married a woman of a 'different persuasion'; he was buried at Scale burial
ground, 'not in unity', 1815. |
