A tall flat topped stone, under Bull Crags, near Dob ghyll, where the dalesmen of
Wythburn, Legburthwaite, and St John's in the Vale, used to meet to settle public
matters - the letting of sheep runs, repair of roads, etc. Half way between the City
and Armboth; nearly opposite Clark's Leap. |
