A 2ft 4in gauge railway system developed by Threlkeld Granite Co, based at Threlkeld
Quarry. It brough stone from Bottom Quarry, but also had a line that served Hill Top
Quarry, sometimes called Spion Kop Quarry, reaching to Bramcrag Quarry. The line was
about 2.5 miles long. There was a branch to Klondyke Quarry. At Threlkeld the line
ended at the crushers and the incline to the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway. |

| There was a steam locomotive, and 0-4-0 well tank, supplied by Andrew Barclay and
Co, 1921, called George V. |
