Clipping at High Swinklebank, 17 July 2010, shearers Mike Martindale and Stewart ?; Olive Simpson wrapping the fleeces, Richard Simpson packing, as well as both shepherding the sheep.
The shearers arrive with their trailer whose side folds down as a platform. There are two pens for sheep, and a ramp to herd them in; the electric clippers can by plugged into a portable generator, or, as here, into a power socket in the barn; the shearers shear, the farmers herd in sheep, take off fleeces and bundles them; fleeces are then stowed in a bag from the British Wool Marketing Board, ready for collection..
